No cancellation date, but the watermark is parallel on symmetrical wire, direction of paper parallel to the short edge of the stamp ["m"] ... 1E2 or Austrian paper:

I wonder if there is a systematic way of classifying the plates of this stamp using the background. I definitely see major differences in how the ocean is layered.

Out of the 23 copies with S.O. and 5 with S.O. I have not found the characteristics you showed us here?!

Strange isn't???

On the other hand I found a characteristic with an awfully high frequency! 6 out of the 23 without and 1 out of the 5 with S.O!
