a great job!

I haven't got enough of that stamp to have the chance to find it! But I did find the characteristic in the first printings! hence a 1E1 with that characteristic!

These sheets are great. Having the whole sheet and on a paper that does not bend to the gum makes for an easy job. I did the whole job in less than two hours.

What fascinates me is that before we see these varieties they are unknown to us but are under our noses all that time!

there are always under our nose - either in our own collection and among the doublets of a fellow collector or a stamp dealer!

There are only a few that develope an eye for these things....

Yes.....it takes lots of training to develop such a skill.

According to Bardi and Pettigiani there is only ONE mate nacional for the 50c Petroleo: Zárate Rayado Horizontal - ZA 1 !!

I am afraid that this is not true!










Both are asymmetrical! But with different inclinations! The first stamp show an AЯ more or less clearly, the second does not show much at all.... It might even be a RA! If not we have problem here ....

But there is still a THIRD variant! This time it is symmetrical and should be considered a ZA 2 !!!!





We knew there were symmetrical mate nacional in that period - the Evita's 10c, 20c, and 25c!!!!

The THIRD variant - the symmetrical or grené or granulado was NOT known in Argentina! Bardi whould use the ZA 2 for it!!




take a good look at the blue lines and turn your head so thelines are horizontal! It will be easier than to see the virtual diagonals!
