P&R I - 5c Moreno in offset-litho
The 5c Moreno in offset-litho will most likely have a root block of 5x5 which possible characteristics that will be reproduced several times to make up two printing plates of 20x10 above each other.
Possible candidates for this root block are not so easy to find.
A few that I have found more than twice:

Re: P&R I - 5c Moreno in offset-litho
A complete sheet of 20x10 of the 5c Moreno in offset-litho with "Servicio Oficial" does NOT have these characteristics! Nor the scratch through the "N' nor the dot in the "E"!!! The sheet, however, does have its root block characteristics!Rein escribió:The 5c Moreno in offset-litho will most likely have a root block of 5x5 which possible characteristics that will be reproduced several times to make up two printing plates of 20x10 above each other.

Re: P&R I - 5c Moreno in offset-litho
The following characteristics have been found in 8 positions - each in a sheet area of 5x5 stamps:
this on the position 24, 29, 34, 39 and 124, 129, 134 and 139
this on the position 84, 89, 94, 99 and 184, 189, 194 and 199
So far 8 of the 5x5=25 stamps in the root block have been identified independently of possible plate flaws...
As to the earlier posted characteristics they may originate from an earlier - 1st??? - plate as the mInisterials were involved.
The paper used for the complete sheet I have is the English paper of Wiggins Teape with a parallel watermark possibly around 1938.

good to have you back!
Recently someone asked for an explanation of 1E1 and 1E3! Do you answer it yourself? It was in the Spanish section under the 1c Sarmiento....
