In 1932 Walter Bose published a series of articles on the Ministerials in which he described several versions of the watermarks:

How does this classifcation clash or not with later or earlier ones? With Hicketier? With CEFILOZA?

Why do we not have a contemporary survey of the 1922-1935 period???

I started to re-write the CEFILOZA list and will soon be able to present a new list of the 1922-1935 period!

no reaction from the experts so far!

How come that no-one is describing the letters of AЯ or RA of the early watermark??? In a similar way Dario Bardi did for the PyR I series???

Bardi did pay attention to the fact that in several types of paper the A and the Я were connected at the bottom - "las letras se unen en la base"

But I still do not know how to imagine my letras agudas or cuadradas????

The first multiple large Sun + AR watermark was introduced in 1922 for the 1917 José de San Martin definitives and for the 1921-1922 semi-permanente Congreso Postal!

This paper is supposed to have come from the Netherlands! irrespectively whether the letters are sharp [agudas] or square [cuadradas] - what ever that may mean!! - the A and Я are NOT joined at the bottom....

The diameter of the sun is supposed to be 10x9.5mm - hence slightly elliptical - but 9.5mm as a diameter seems just as common!

The A and Я are loose and the horizontal joints between the suns are more or less straight....

But not in all cases!



The stroke of the A seems a bit lower! Or it that just the heavy cancellation?
