The upper stamp is supposed to be Samuel Jones.

the lower stamp - 5p60 - seems to have the craters typical for paper 1 [and 5/6]!

In the case of mint stamps, it is strange that NO-ONE made a reference to arabic gum so far! #2 and # 4 had synthetic gum, #1 had arabic gum.

And so had all the commemoratives between November 1975 and August 1977! And that was NOT papel americano! What was it????? All had arabic gum!!

This is in the catalogue of TIEV.

Maybe you are right, paper 1 and 5/6 have the same source. We can not trust in TIEV informatión, I have seen quite inconsistencies in his information, many philatelists tell that TIEV made his papers list like stamp dealers because this lists are exactly the same.

it would be a pity if you are right in saying that we can not really trust the TIEV information! What we need are printing history sheets combining typed out information plus hand-written!

How much do you have of that??? Do you have them in digital form??? Could you publish them here???

Stamp dealers may play a too dominant role!? But why should collectors accept that?????

19.01.1981 - 22.05.1981 = 132.000 sheets [not 133.200 as supposedly used with paper #1!]

The sheet-counters - with a range slightly broader than the number of sheets delivered - do continue.... Why suppose a break of paper here????

19.01.1981- 30.03.1981 = 1.103.000 sheets
22.01.1982 - 09.02.1982 = 196.200 sheets [not 169.200!]

Two consecutive days, sheet-numbers continuing! Start using a new reel on January 23, 1981, after 1.200 sheets or some 300 meters???

Where does this 133.200 for paper #1 come from?????
Paper #1 was in use from August till November 1975 [!], not LATER!

In order to print so many sheets you have some 30 kilometers of paper or about 10 reels?!? Kept apart for 5 years to print this 4p??
Ordering the 4p it was meant to use paper coming from H.& L. Slater so why start with Americano that had been lying around for 5 years????

Who has paper #1 for the 4p Miel????

It looks like a philatelist description and story; NOT a printer's!

Printers have no interest in both the front and the back of the stamp being fluorescent......

I still do not trust it!

The lower stamp is what I call "aserrín" paper

Can you see the sharp diagonal lines of breakingom??? Apart from the horizontal lines? I.e. vertical in the Mexico Exporta!

The 4p Miel you call Samuel Jones has diagonal breaking lines hence is NOT papel #4 but papel #1B .....

The sharp diagonal lines descending - with the eje de enrollamiento vertical - is typical for the gum arabic used in the November 1975- August 1977 period! I coined it paper #1B ....
