Re: Rayos rectos difusos or the unkown orthogonal watermark
The definitives are all in the PyR I series:
1/2c M. Belgrano
3c José de San Martin grey
12c B. Mitré in vermillion
15c M. Güemes
35c Post Office Telegrafos [already shown above]
and the
20c Toro grande
all stamps - the commemoratives included have the medium size, all except for the 35c in portrait shape....
Two stamps may have been mentioned before but are not yet verified:
2c Urquiza
35c Post Office Telecomunicaciones
As I have said earlier - apart from the orthogonal aspect, the most important thing is the symmetrical paper wire. and that brings us in problems! As the so-called Austriaco also has those aspects!
Fortunately "Austriaco" does not occur in the medium sized stamps, are in the larger sized the face values involved do not include the 20c Toro grande!
But does that guarantee us that the Rayos rectos Difusos does not occur in the other larger sized stamps?????

Re: Rayos rectos difusos or the unkown orthogonal watermark
The 15c M. Güemes in blue will give us some problems!
Both RR difuso and RR nitido have "m" in the Tabla-General - that is the line of AЯ will be parallel to the short side of the stamp (D.A. Bardi's notation!). What is the difference that we can recognize????
What I have said before and probably will have to repeat it time and again is the rough surface (being heavily felted) of both the back and the front of the Nitido version plus its white colour is one condition, the other is the a-symmetrical paper wire. Of course, the rays are so-called "straight" but that is not the proof! Imnportant is also the distance between the 2 identical lines of AЯ [3.5mm instead of 3.0mm; or at least more than 1.5mm between 2 consecutive lines of AЯ]. And as mentioned before both measurements can be found in the Nitidos!
A conditio sine qua non for the Difuso version is the symmetrical paper wire!

The 20c Toro in grey-blue will give us some problems!
The orthogonal watermarks in the case of the 20c Toro occur in 3 places in this part of the table. Both Granulado vertical, RR difuso and RR nitido have "m" in the Tabla-General - that is the line of AЯ will be parallel to the short side of the stamp (D.A. Bardi's notation!). What are the differences that we can recognize????
A conditio sine qua non for the Difuso version is the symmetrical paper wire! But the Granulado vertical has that also!
Let's scan the consecutive stamps and look at potential differences!

Re: Rayos rectos difusos or the unkown orthogonal watermark
The rayos rectos difusos are not that obvious and clearly recognisable as the rayos rectos nitidos. What is written about them in the
"EL DESAFÍO DE LOS PAPELES CON FILIGRANA SOL RA EN LA FILATELIA ARGENTINA"by mr. D.A. Bardi, is rather meager:
