Estimados co-foristas, les agradecería me expliquen el concepto, y las diferencias entre Offset, Offset de línea y Offset autotípico, pues en el libro de Merlo no las encuentro. Saludos

There are more types than that!

If you have a monocoloured offset-litho printing you only need a screen when you want to have half-tones of that colour. I.e. a gradual change from dark to light. Otherwise you have just lines or areas with that colour.

In the red colour of this stamp the frame has the red dots connected, further inside you see the separate red dots:

So that was the half-tone type of offset-litho with a traditional screen! Also called with an autotypical screen.

The rather recent version - since about 30 years - is the stochastical screen! You can not really seel any order or alignement of the dots, they are all haphazardly spread!
